As a teenager, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to travel with my mother and father to see many cultures. At each place we lived, I started a " Back Yard Kids Club". It was here that songs were sung and Bible stories were told using the many puppets we had that made learning fun and interesting. This early experience gave me the knowledge that I truely loved teaching children! If you look around my classroom, you will see many of the puppets and materials from my youth. As a teacher of children from kindergarden to highschool age, I try to inspire the love of learning and broaden their understanding of the world with the Spanish language.
I am excited to take Spanish on the road with Party Animobiles. I enjoy telling stories, creating parties and seeing the books come to life with hands-on centers inspired by the written word! Look for me with my puppet "Kat" as we bring Spanish to schools , families and the community!
According to many experts, introducing children to a second language as early as possible fosters healthy brain development and encourages positive social and effective communication skills.
